Kinemotik Studios, the studio behind award-winning Audio Trip VR, started with a love story.

Kinemotik Studios is the dream indie story. Beginning their journey at a virtual reality game jam in 2017, the duo fell in love with VR, game development, and each other. Kinemotik’s founder, Ashley, transitioned her 10 year career in architecture to game development, while Brady left his position at an award-winning virtual reality studio to work full time developing their passion project together: Audio Trip.

Audio Trip launched in 2019 as a standout VR-rhythm game for its uniquely choreographed gameplay. Ashley’s background in dance performance, competition, & choreography inspires her to create dance moves in the game that encourage player embodiment at an unprecedented level in the VR space. Since its launch, Kinemotik Studios has continued to support the game with content updates, including over 20 songs--each with a unique environment, 84 handcrafted choreographies, and special cardio levels that focus specifically on physical wellness.

Kinemotik Studios has also driven to build a strong community around Audio Trip, with regular community engagements including weekly fitness regimes and support for user-generated choreography. Following the launch of Audio Trip on Quest, Kinemotik Studios surpassed several sales milestones & Audio Trip is available across the globe, landing it status as a certified VR success story.

As Audio Trip grows, Kinemotik Studios continues to develop new games and experiences, as well as participating in game jams whenever possible, as the duo currently works from Albania, living their dream lives as creative nomads in love.
