Black Desert Online

While Black Desert Online launched seven years ago, Korean developer and publisher Pearl Abyss' open world-MMORPG has never been more relevant across all platforms, led by the PC version. The studio's constant integration of community feedback and regular, original content has generated immensely popular updates, leading with the PC version's expansion, "Mountain of Eternal Winter" in summer 2022.

"Eternal Winter" invites players to scale the snowy peaks of the Mountain of Eternal Winter and face an ancient evil hidden within. Covered perpetually in snow, the region offers new quests, gameplay activities and endgame pursuits, as well as a breathtaking view and a streamlined, renewed starting location for new players. "Mountain of Eternal Winter" introduces four new "monster zones", unique regions within the overall landscape, full of new characters, original storylines to follow, and challenging, icy creatures to confront and defeat; a new character class, Drakania, whose lore ties into the wintery mountain region; and eye-raising new weapons and gear to earn, wear, and wield.

More importantly, "Mountain of Eternal Winter" is specifically designed to encourage new players to wade into the MMORPG's giant world. With live, always updating games whose content might seem daunting or overwhelming, "Mountain of Eternal Winter" is Black Desert Online’s first new starting zone. Players can start playing from level one and experience the lore and world of Black Desert in a new, streamlined experience. Fully rendered cutscenes and introductory tutorials will welcome any new players that might feel overwhelmed entering a new MMORPG and walk them through the wonders and adventures that the game has to offer.
