A Plague Tale: Requiem expands the A Plague Tale series, taking you six months after the events from its prequel A Plague Tale: Innocence. Set in 14th century France, A Plague Tale: Innocence introduced you to Amicia and Hugo De Rune, a teenage girl and her young brother. After their household was taken down, Amicia had to use cunning and courage to protect Hugo from swarms of rats carrying the Black Plague and from the French Inquisition chasing the Macula—a mysterious evil coursing through Hugo’s veins. When you meet her in A Plague Tale: Requiem, Amicia has adapted to her role as a protector with a readiness for action, and grown confident enough to take her little brother on an ambitious quest to find a cure, away from their home region, in the land of Provence. And as swarms of rats come back intensified, Hugo gets confronted with his overwhelming supernatural power to control them—or dramatically lose control over them.
After signing the soundtrack for A Plague Tale: Innocence, Olivier Derivière is back to enrich the intense emotional journey of A Plague Tale: Requiem
with his poignant compositions. He and world-class performers gave an exceptional concert for the occasion of the game’s release to celebrate the successful first weeks and nominations for The Game Awards.
