Button Man

Button Man is a side-scrolling adventure beat ’em up game, set in a fictional Nova Scotia during prohibition. After years of being the henchmen to the local bootlegging kingpin your job now is to find who killed him and protect the town from what’s coming to it.
At its heart Button Man is a love letter to Halifax, its history, the good and the bad. It is about the people of the town, those born in it and those that found it, their connections and your influence on their lives. Between challenging combat, a grand investigation, many puzzles, companions who will follow you into hell and back, you will have much to do in the city of Kingsport.
Players control Bruce McKenzie, a former war hero-turned-fixer and enforcer for Albert Fisher, the "local bootlegging kingpin" in the city of Kingsport during prohibition. But when Fisher is murdered, you will have to find out who killed him. Fortunately you'll have some help in conducting your investigation and solving puzzles from companions such as Jaime Donovan, a nosy wanna-be reporter with no boundaries. Occasionally that will require Bruce to get down and dirty with those who wish to do you wrong, and you will have important decisions that will impact the lives of Kingsport's citizens and influence the direction of a mystery that can end in one of multiple possible ways.
Button Man is in development slated for release in 2025. Our demo is available and a comic book is in the making about the events of the game.
