To launch Monster Hunter Wilds across Europe, we faced the challenge of speaking to the franchise’s loyal fanbase while also igniting curiosity among new hunters. The ambition was to create a campaign that didn’t just announce a game but awakened an instinct and to reawaken players’ primal nature and invite them into the vast, untamed world of the Wilds.
We orchestrated a launch campaign spanning three phases across nine markets, requiring a total of over 1000 assets. We imagined those assets across a vast mix of platforms: TikTok interactive stories, Reddit free-form ads, Twitch Mirror-C, homepage takeovers, interactive HTML units, YouTube Mastheads, and Connected TV. Every touchpoint became a new way to invite audiences deeper into the wilds, creating a vast targeted campaign to reach the players.
For OOH and DOOH, we delivered a massive campaign in France, with our creative covering 430 OOH printed placements on the Paris Metro and 462 digital screens across France’s national train stations.
Through our strategic and production efforts, we were able to contribute significantly to the record breaking 8M+ copies sold worldwide within the game’s first 3 days.
