1 Congratulations on your proud achievements in the NYX Game Awards! Can you share more about your game, your studio, or yourself?
Thank you! We’re truly honored to receive multiple awards at this year’s NYX Game Awards with our two titles, Love and Deepspace and Infinity Nikki. Love and Deepspace is a 3D romance simulation set in the futuristic city of Linkon, where players take on the role of a Deepspace Hunter and form emotional bonds with Evol-gifted love interests. The game won Best Mobile Game at Gamescom 2025 and has attracted over 70 million players worldwide. Infinity Nikki is an open-world dress-up adventure that invites players to freely explore the fantasy realm of Miraland, collecting outfits and expressing creativity through beauty and discovery. The title won the Apple Design Award for Visuals and Graphics, celebrated for its dreamlike art direction and imaginative gameplay. Both titles are published by Infold Games, the international business brand launched by Paper Games in 2022. Headquartered in Singapore with offices in Los Angeles and Tokyo, Infold Games serves as Paper Games’ global publishing and development platform. Guided by the mission “Create a Life Beyond Amazing,” Infold Games aims to build closer, more localized connections with players worldwide while carrying forward the creative DNA that defines Paper Games. 2 What was the moment you realized you wanted to create games, and how has that passion evolved over time?
At our core, we’re a group of people who simply love games. That passion began with the joy of playing and exploring different worlds, and over time, it evolved into a mission—to use games as a way to explore human emotion, choice, and connection. Whether it’s the emotional resonance in Love and Deepspace or the sense of freedom and self-expression in Infinity Nikki, we hope players can feel something deeply human through our worlds.
3 Tell us about your studio-what's the mission that drives your team's creative process?
Our mission is “Create a Life beyond Amazing.” It’s more than a slogan. It’s the core of everything we create. Through our games, we want to show players that life can be experienced in different, more beautiful ways — to love, to create, to explore, and to connect. Whether it’s the emotional bonds that transcend time and space in Love and Deepspace or the freedom and wonder of exploration in Infinity Nikki, we aim to offer players new ways of feeling and living, proof that life can, indeed, be “beyond amazing.”
4 What's the story or concept behind your award-winning game, and what inspired its creation?
Love and Deepspace is all about love. Set in a future where technology and the cosmos expand the boundaries of human connection, we wanted to explore how love continues to shape and define us. It’s about romance, courage, and emotional resonance, about making players truly feel. Infinity Nikki, on the other hand, was inspired by our belief in freedom and the creativity of beauty. We wanted to create an open world where players can explore, discover, and express themselves in limitless ways, defining their own style and journey. Though very different in genre and tone, both titles share the same core philosophy — to use games as a way to “create a life beyond amazing.”
5 What do you think is the most innovative or unique feature of your game, and how does it enhance the player experience?
In Love and Deepspace, we used real-time 3D technology to create a cinematic, interactive narrative experience that makes emotional interactions between players and characters feel deeply immersive. In Infinity Nikki, we built a cross-platform open world on Unreal Engine 5, combining expressive lighting and a highly detailed outfit system to deliver an unparalleled aesthetic journey. Both titles push boundaries on the technical and emotional fronts, aiming to create games that players can truly feel.
6 What's the most unexpected challenge you faced during development, and how did your team tackle it?
Every large-scale project comes with a variety of challenges — technical, creative, and emotional. While we faced difficulties on multiple fronts, our team overcame them through close collaboration and a shared creative vision, ultimately delivering the experience we had envisioned.
7 How do you approach balancing technical limitations with creative ambition in your games?
We view technical limitations as opportunities for creativity. Our team collaborates closely across disciplines to find elegant solutions, always keeping the player experience at the forefront regardless of platform or constraints.
8 What's a current trend in gaming that you think holds immense potential to become a major element in the coming future?
The blending of narrative and interactivity continues to evolve. We believe that emotion-driven immersive experiences will become a key direction in the future, whether through open-world exploration or deeper, more meaningful character relationships.
9 How do you see AI, AR, or VR technologies being implemented increasingly, and do you plan to explore further into this area?
These emerging technologies have continually sparked our imagination. Whether it’s the potential of AI to enhance character emotional expression or the immersive experiences offered by AR and VR, we are constantly exploring how to use innovative technology to deepen players’ emotional connection with the game world.
10 What kind of emotional or intellectual impact do you hope your game has on players?
We hope players feel “understood” and “connected” in Love and Deepspace, and “inspired” and “empowered” in Infinity Nikki. Whether it’s about love and bonds or freedom and creativity, we want players to find their own personal meaning through these journeys.
11 If players could take away one message or feeling from your game, what would it be?
Even in a vast universe or an expansive world, love and beauty remain forces that define and connect us.
12 What's a dream project or concept you've always wanted to explore, but haven't had the chance to yet?
We are always thinking about how to tell stories that transcend boundaries across genres, cultures, and technologies. In the future, we hope to create a more resonant virtual world where players from around the globe can connect through emotion and creativity.
13 What's next for your studio? Can you tease any upcoming ideas or projects that can be shared?
We will continue to expand Love and Deepspace with new chapters and interactive experiences, while Infinity Nikki is also under ongoing development and will bring more gameplay and content in the future.
14 What's the biggest change you've seen in the gaming industry since you started, and how have you adapted to it?
Player expectations have become more diverse. They now seek emotional resonance and spaces for self-expression within games. We’ve adapted by continually deepening our storytelling and aesthetic expression to meet this evolving demand.
15 What's your secret to designing a game world that feels alive and immersive to players?
Empathy and attention to detail. Whether it’s the emotional flow of characters in Love and Deepspace or the subtle lighting and environmental nuances in Infinity Nikki, we believe that true immersion comes from emotional authenticity.
16 If you could collaborate with any game developer or studio in the world, who would it be and why?
We deeply admire creators who continuously push the boundaries of interactive storytelling, visual artistry, and emotional design. Collaborating with a team that shares our passion for touching players’ hearts through stories would be a dream opportunity.
17 What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone dreaming of starting their journey in game development?
Stay curious and patient. Game development is a long and challenging journey, but every obstacle you face ultimately becomes part of the story you’re trying to tell.
