For its new release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus on the Nintendo Switch, the marketing team of The Pokémon International Company had the idea of a social media focused campaign that places Pokémon puppets at the center of reality TV scenarios. The ads border between absurdity and physical comedy, that transports viewers back to the days of ’90s gaming commercials. Five spots and various cut downs were used across the brands YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, as organic and prompted posts in N. America, the UK, Italy, France, Germany, and Spain.
