Following an incredible presentation at The Game Awards on December 8, 2022, thatgamecompany opened the virtual doors for their Sky: Children of the Light in-game concert featuring award-winning Norwegian musician, AURORA. The widely acclaimed singer took center stage in Sky: Children of the Light and guided concertgoers through an unprecedented musical journey. The concert was available to everyone with no tickets, purchases, or minimum game progress needed.

For the first time ever in gaming history, Sky: Children of the Ligh delivered a musical journey where players felt the wave of emotions from thousands of other players on the same screen, at the same time. The AURORA concert in-game was powered by a proprietary game engine and was revolutionary. The concert connected over 4,000 players together on the same screen, in the world’s largest virtual concert venue for a shared emotional musical journey to-date. This first-of-its-kind virtual performance propelled the vision of in-game concerts forward, redefining what is possible through unparalleled music, storytelling and interactivity.
